Dance Masterclass

Our Dance Masterclass is led by our incredible tutors:

Phoebe Hyder - Puppeteer, Movement Director and a Jermyn Street Theatre Creative Associate. Her performance and creative work spans across award-winning theatre, film, TV,  game and groundbreaking Motion / Performance capture. Recent credits include:  Everwild, Sea of Thieves (Xbox/Rare), His Dark Materials (BBC/HBO), Dream (The RSC), The Burning Girls (ITV), Dragons and Mythical Beasts (Oliver Award Nomination), and In Pursuit of Repetitive Beats (VR Experience, East City Films, BFI The National Theatre).

Kath Harman - Career highlights include performing as a backup dancer for Dua Lipa at the Brit Awards, and performing as a singer/dancer with Carnival Cruise Line where she travelled to the USA, Bahamas and the Caribbean.

If you want to start developing or improving your dance abilities and knowledge, as well as learning how to make it in the industry and how to successfully audition for dance opportunities, this is the course for you. 

The Dance Masterclass focuses on developing choreography and movement for musical theatre, and you will have the opportunity to work closely in small groups as well as receive individual tuition. Whether you have school auditions on the horizon, or you are looking to improve your skills to audition for musical theatre work in future, you will come away from this course with a broad understanding of what it takes to start a career as a dancer… and you’ll have a great time!

WHEN AND WHERE?

The Dance Masterclass takes place in Cranleigh Arts Centre, around 20 minutes from Guildford. The venue has a professional theatre, a sprung dance floor for choreography sessions, dressing rooms, and lots of great areas for filming and multimedia activities, so it's the perfect spot for our aspiring performers to learn in.

In2Drama is split into two groups for age related focus

11-15 year olds: 9am - 12pm

16-21 year olds: 1pm - 4pm

Presentation: 4.30pm - 5pm
