In2Drama’s signature course is our Summer Academy for young, aspiring performers wishing to carve out a career in the performing arts, or simply to explore a new hobby. Our action-packed 5-day course includes over 35 hours of masterclasses taught by industry professionals, and ends with a live public performance in front of peers and parents.
This year’s academy includes an exciting new opportunity – we will be making several short features to enable all actors to have significant roles in various productions.
Whether you’re an experienced performer, need to be pushed outside of your comfort zone, or are simply nervous about stepping out in front of an audience for the first time, we can help you increase your confidence and have you performing with ease!
The In2Drama faculty is made up of some of the very best talent in the industry with excellent connections to UK drama schools, as well as professional film, TV and theatre contacts for anyone looking to take the next step in their learning journey.
WHEN AND WHERE?
Monday 28th - Friday 1st August 2025
The Academy takes place in the Cranleigh Arts Centre, around 20 minutes from Guildford. The venue has a professional theatre, a sprung dance floor for choreography sessions, dressing rooms, and lots of great areas for filming and multimedia activities. It's the perfect spot for our aspiring performers to learn in.
New boarding option
If getting to and from Cranleigh to attend our academies has been a bit of a pain in the past, then here's the answer - boarding. And it doesn't matter whether you live in Guildford or Grimsby!
Due to the huge demand from last year, we've teamed up with the lovely people at Sayers Croft Outdoor Learning Centre in Ewhurst (just down the road from Cranleigh) to offer boarding to students who are attending the full five days of the 2025 Academy.
Sayers Croft is set within 56 acres of woodland and meadows and has a wide range of activities on offer, including archery, wall climbing and rope courses as well as an outdoor swimming pool. The centre is fully staffed with experienced and DBS-checked experts.
The boarders will arrive in the evening of Sunday 27th July and will need to be picked up after the Kerry Ellis Show on Friday 1st August. So, parents and guardians, why not come to the show itself?
Boarding for 5 nights will cost £375 per student and includes:
- All linen
- Breakfast and dinner
- Experienced House Parents
- Transport to and from Cranleigh Arts Centre
- Common Room for Students with TV
Ages and genders will be split up and each room will house no more than three students. Each room has an ensuite bathroom.
Evening activities are optional extras and will last for an hour after dinner. We will supply more details about the activities in due course. The cost for each activity may vary depending on the level of interest.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Whether you’re an aspiring performer with the goal of attending drama school or casting call auditions or you’re simply interested in making new friends and having fun over summer, we’re here to help make your dreams a reality.
11-15 year olds: Ready to make new friends, learn new performing skills and put on a real show? Our lower age group offers all of the below modules with a focus on developing skills, having fun with friends, and performing for family.
16-21 year olds: This group is for those who would like a future in the performing arts. While still suitable for those who want to have fun, the courses will be focused on perfecting audition skills for casting calls and drama school applications.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
You can benefit from over 35 hours of masterclasses in acting, singing, dance, audition skills, music production, technical theatre and film production, all taught by industry professionals, with modules tailored to your learning goals. Wherever your talent lies, we will ensure you leave the Academy with all the knowledge you need.

SHOWREELS
A showreel allows a casting agent to see you in action through a series of short video clips.
While taking part in the Academy, you will have the chance to purchase an optional showreel to showcase your talents. Our team will help you capture the very best bits of your performances that you can use to apply for future castings and opportunities.
Once you have booked your place on the Academy below, you'll be presented with the option to add a showreel too.
